Dr. Peter Levitt entered into private cardiology practice in 1976.  He joined South Denver Cardiology Associates in 2007. Peter was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. He received his bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh Hospitals in Pittsburgh, PA. He did his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Hospitals going on to complete his fellowship in general and interventional cardiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. He has authored numerous articles on interventional cardiology. Awards include: Teacher of the Year, 1979, Mercy Medical Center. He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology and Internal Medicine.

Peter is not only a “trivia” buff, but also loves the beach and knows as least one doctor in every state! If you are ever on “ Who wants to be a Millionaire” and you need to “call a friend,” he should be your choice!  Peter is married to Enid, who is a practicing clinical social worker.  They have one son.
