Five Restaurants our Denver Cardiologists Would Recommend

Eating out can be a treat, and when you’re watching your heart health it can be a difficult treat to swallow. Fortunately for those of us in the Denver area, there are at least five great restaurants in Denver that our cardiologists would recommend for good heart health. After all, Denver is considered one of the healthiest cities in America, and many great restaurants in town prove that point. Consider a night out at one of the following healthy yet delicious restaurants across town.
1 – True Food Kitchen – Located in the affluent Cherry Creek district in Denver, True Food Kitchen prides itself on serving only the most nutritional, organic foods available. With an affordable price range between 11 and 30 dollars, the restaurants serves all kinds of cuisine, including salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. The heart conscious restaurant even features some intriguing power drinks, like a kale smoothie.
2 – Bombay Bowl – Looking for something exotic yet healthy? Look no further than Bombay Bowl. Located just south of downtown Denver on Lincoln and 6th Avenue, this restaurant features only organic foods for Indian-style cuisine. Indian cuisine typically includes several varieties of vegetables and low-fat options, and yet it all tastes so delicious.
3 – Snooze – Sometimes you just want to eat out for breakfast, and rather than drowning in pancakes and maple syrup, you can try an establishment that caters to a slightly higher order of breakfast foods. Snooze has locations at the SouthGlenn Mall in Denver, downtown, and even Boulder. This restaurant is often busy in the mornings, and with good reasons. With a modern ambiance that just screams, “good morning world”, Snooze is just the place to get your day started right.
4 – Potager – It often seems like the French can eat almost anything, and still retain their impressive figures. Fortunately, a little bit of Paree has come to Denver. Located on Capitol Hill, Potager is a French Provencal style restaurant that features farm-to-table menus. All their food is purchased straight from local farms, and as a result, their menus are always changing. You won’t have to worry about unscrupulous processed foods, and as you would expect from French cuisine, all meals are simply delectable and artistic.
5 – Tag – Branding itself as a restaurant that serves “continental social food”, Tag is an impressive health-conscious restaurant located on 14th and Larimer Street. The menu changes twelve times a year, and features all kinds of interesting seasonal meals that are crafted from organic and locally produced foods from Colorado farmers. The atmosphere is appealing too, with a semi-open kitchen and urban feel; it’s a fantastic place to start a night out on the town.
