SDCA Welcomes New Cardiologist Danielle Henkel, MD
Joining South Denver Cardiology Associates in August of 2015,
Danielle Henkel, M.D. is the newest Cardiologist joining the Award Winning Team of
physicians here at SDCA. Dr. Henkel is a general cardiologist who was born in Duluth, MN. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Carleton College in Northfield, MN with a B.A. in Biology prior to embarking on a medical career. She completed
Medical School, Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. During her fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Danielle focused on clinical applications of multimodality cardiac imaging. Her research endeavors lead to publications in the Journal of American College of Cardiology and Circulation Heart Failure. Prior to graduation, she earned the academic rank of Assistant Professor
of Medicine. Dr. Henkel is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular diseases, and Comprehensive Echocardiography. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.
