Get Ready for the Heart Walk

Heart Walk 2017 is Here!

June 10th is fast approaching! Which means it is time for the annual Heart Walk with the American Heart Association . The walk will take place at Denver’s Mile High Stadium and is sure to be a good time, while also helping battle and reverse heart disease and stroke. If you are walking, thank you and we are very happy you are participating. Or, if you know someone who is walking, we hope that you can support them.
This year’s heart walk is at a new location and with all new events that participants can take part in. People can arrive early and take part in yoga, spinning, barre, or even a 5K run. Then, at 10 a.m. the walk will start. Along the route, participants will be entertained by local musicians. Also, the backdrop will be incredible with the Denver skyline and the stadium. Part of this year’s event is a Good Heart Fest and Expo which opens at 8 a.m. This includes exhibitors, kids zone, obstacle course as well as food and drinks.

Heart Walk Fund Raiser

Do keep in mind that the heart walk event is a fundraiser. However, you can walk for free and everyone is welcome to attend. After all, who couldn’t use a nice stroll on a June, Saturday morning? However, if you donate or raise $25 you will get stadium access to finish the event. Then, you get to walk into the stadium and see yourself on the jumbotron. If you happen to raise $100, you get a #heartwalking t-shirt. If you raise $1,000 or more, you get VIP access and more perks.
Regardless, do try and get out and take in the event and show people how we, in Colorado, are battling heart disease and stroke. Plus, you will be doing something that is heart healthy by getting some exercise. Plus, everyone is welcome at the free Expo, which is sure to be fun.
