Ambulatory Monitoring Technician (Full time)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set-up and placement of Holter monitors, event recorders, and sleep study monitors.
  • Direct communication between patients and healthcare providers regarding heart monitors and sleep studies, utilizing telecommunication such as emails and phone calls
  • The first point of contact of receiving Abnormal recordings from such monitors
  • Collect and disinfect monitors post-processing.
  • Patient enrollment and training for all ambulatory monitoring devices.
  • Patient enrollment and training for sleep studies with Nox Ox equipment
  • Downloading of all data received from each monitor
  • Processing and distribution of all reports.
  • Scanning and tasking of all reports to SDCA physicians or Primary Care physicians as applicable.
  • Review and distribution of all tasks received concerning ambulatory monitoring devices.
  • Entry into Patient Portal as needed.
  • Address patient and equipment issues as they occur.

ACCOUNTABILITY:         Reports to Diagnostic Testing Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:           Basic ECG interpretation skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills

The ability to multi-task and maintain organization

 

PHYSICAL EFFORT:         Ability to assist patients in emergency situations as needed

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

  • Preventice Holter/Event monitors, Biotel Holter monitors, and Noc Ox Sleep Study monitors
  • EPIC, Allscripts PM and Touchworks
  • Phillips Zymed software

Call Center Scheduler / Customer Service Representative   (Full Time Position)

Responsibilities:

  • Answer, triage, and route multiple phone lines.
  • Management of high call volume.
  • Scheduling of office visits and outpatient diagnostic testing.
  • Assist Physicians and staff in placing and transferring calls.
  • Ability to learn and provide Alpha Numeric paging needs.
  • Manage incoming hospital requests according to set protocol.
  • Key player and participant in alerting the entire building of emergencies.
  • Assist callers with directions to all office locations.
  • Take messages when required and maintain said records of all communications
  • Follow all established call handling protocol as provided  by the Supervisor Maintain patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
  • Assist in any additional clerical duties requested by the Supervisor Represent our Practice and Facility to referring Physicians, patients and all other callers, in a positive and pleasant manner.

Qualifications/Education:

Clinical Medical Assistant (Full Time Position)

Responsibilities:

  • Must maintain patient confidentiality and privacy per current HIPAA regulations.
  • Must be able to establish rapport with patients easily and be customer service focused.
  • Needs to be able to communicate so as to reduce anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering questions for a variety of patients.
  • Assists patients and physicians by escorting patients from the lobby to exam rooms, obtaining vital signs, getting medication lists, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Obtains diagnostic data by performing point of care testing/treatments such as protimes, EKGs, and pulse oximetry.
  • Performs clerical duties such as checking patients in and out, filling out disability forms, correcting/editing dictation inaccuracies, managing charts and obtaining physician signatures.
  • Complies with federal, state, local, and professional requirements to keep licensing in good standing and by advising management of needed updates.
  • Performs EECP once trained and certified.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Prepares, cleans, and stocks exam rooms in the morning and after each exam.
  • Coordinates communications by facilitating telephone communications for physicians, insurance companies, and others.

Qualifications/Education:

  • The applicant must be certified as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
  • Lifting requirements do not exceed 25 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Background check required (includes credit, justice, worker’s comp, and drug test)

Tools and equipment used:

  • 12 lead EKG, cardiac monitor/defibrillator, stethoscope, point of care testing equipment, basic computer knowledge, pulse oximetry, etc.

Procedure Scheduler (Full Time Position)
Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to medication restrictions per protocol.
  • Acquires EKG and lab work as needed.
  • Obtains insurance pre-certification for procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with hospital protocols by sending history and physicals, orders, consents, lab work and EKG’s to admission areas.
  • Troubleshoot potential patient problems.

Diagnostics CT Nurse (RN)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respects patient confidentiality and privacy by maintaining the security of all patient communications, per current HIPAA regulations.
  • Identifies patient service requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual patients.
  • Responsible for triaging patients, by phone or in person. The nurse appropriately incorporates the use of established protocols, available information, the nursing process, critical thinking, prioritizing, and delegation to resolve patient issues.
  • Ensures correct prescription by communication with the physician and the pharmacies regarding new prescriptions, medication changes, or refills.
  • Will educate patients on their medical conditions, symptoms that may indicate a worsening problem, and the possible effects or adverse reactions that may occur with medications.
  • Review of diagnostic test results with physicians. Differentiates normal results from abnormal results and obtain recommendations from the physicians. Informs patients of results and recommendations.
  • Documents patient care activities using EHR.
  • Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of procedures, and answering questions.
  • Assists CT department with patients by performing pre-op appointments, facilitate consents, starting IVs, and monitoring during hydration.
  • Assists the diagnostic team in administering pharmacological agents for diagnostic testing. Provides routine and emergent care as directed.
  • Is an active member of the code blue team.  Responsibilities include BLS/ACLS protocols.
  • Acts as a resource for the medical assistants and non-clinical staff.
  • Provides routine and emergent care as directed per protocol.
  • Complies with federal, state, local, and professional requirements and advises management of needed actions.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infectious control policies and protocols.

ACCOUNTABILITY:      Reports to Clinical Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse with a current Colorado license.
  • BSN or AD with concurrent BSN enrollment required
  • ACLS within 3 months of hire
  • BLS
  • Cardiology experience preferred
  • Background check required (includes credit, justice, worker’s comp)

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Ability to assist with an adult patient in emergencies as needed
  • Lifting requirements not to exceed 25lbs
