Interventional Cardiologist

Dimitri Kaufman was born in Moscow and moved as a teenager to Colorado. Dr. Kaufman graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado where he received his Bachelor of Arts and attended Harvard Medical School. He then completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Harvard’s Beth Israel Hospital and returned to Colorado for his Fellowship training in Cardiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Kaufman then completed his training with a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Georgetown University, then again returned to Colorado where he joined the faculty at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and was named Director of the Intensive Care Unit and eventually Acting Director of Cardiac Interventions. In 1997, Dr. Kaufman joined South Denver Cardiology Associates.

Dr. Kaufman has received his Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases, as well as numerous specialty Interventional Cardiology Certifications, and has been inducted in the Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Kaufman is fluent in English and Russian and is married with six children.
